Standardized Harsh-Duty Air Conditioners
Hazardous (Explosive) and Ordinary Harsh Locations

BSDE announces the expansion of its new line of off-the-shelf heavy-duty industrial air conditioners.

President Polly Roston explained that BSDE has expanded its line of standardized industrial air conditioners to include capacities from 12,000 BTUH to 36,000 BTUH in both through-the-wall and split configurations.

Roston explained that BSDE makes its lines of through-the-wall and split air conditioners specifically for industrial, marine, military and agricultural applications where the environments commonly contain corrosive and hazardous gases, dusts, humidity, vibration, salt and other chemicals which quickly destroy ordinary air-conditioning equipment.

Among BSDE's standard features:

*  Fins in the condensers and evaporators are spaced widely enough apart that they won't clog even in heavy dust or sand

* To prevent corrosion all evaporators and condensers are coated with a phenolic epoxy coating (Heresite®) by first immersing them in the liquid and then baking them

*  Cabinets made of heavyweight, corrosion-resistant 18-gauge Galvalume® or 316L stainless steel

* Totally enclosed motors with stainless-steel shafts to resist corrosion and extend its life

*  Maintenance facilitated by use of slide-out insert, high and low pressure protection, and two refrigerant access valves

*  All controls are mechanical, not electronic, to further facilitate repairs, make replacement parts inexpensive, and eliminate the inherent vulnerability of electronic controls to electrical problems

*  Units offered in unitary and split configurations in capacities from 1 to 3 tons (12,000 to 36,000 BTUH), with or without heat

*  Standardization allows us to keep prices lower than those for special-order explosion-proof and other heavy industrial air conditioners

*  All models available for hazardous (explosive) environments, and they look essentially the same as the normal units because they need no large, unsightly NEMA 7 box on the outside

*  48-Hour guaranteed replacement of any standard unit which fails, shipped at its expense

BSDE make all its products in the United States. For further information contact the General Manager Ed Roston at telephone (718) 643-0606, Fax (718) 643-1333.
